MEET THE TEAM
Kay Spencer
With 30+ years in marketing, Kay brings an insight that empowers her clients to spot opportunities and evolve to meet them with clarity and focus. Her brand positioning and evolution workshops often include recommendations that reach well beyond traditional marketing.
Kay has a degree in marketing and a diverse career in NZ and South Africa. This includes senior roles with Toyota, J Walter Thompson, Unilever, and McCain, and with golf legend Gary Player.
Since returning to NZ she has acted as marketing consultant for small and medium-sized businesses, helping them to harness the marketing disciplines used so successfully by the big players.
When not in the office, she does yoga, rides her mountain bike and bakes calorie-laden goodies.
Rachel McLeod
Rach is one of those rare creatures that make things happen, on time, and to the highest standard, whilst being unfailingly nice to people. Astonishing!
She manages a marketing client portfolio and is also our go-to styling expert for architectural rendering projects.
Rach has honours degrees in marketing and human resources, and spent several years in senior marketing and project management roles in London, Tauranga and Auckland. Her background in Human Resources has also been an unexpected bonus for many of our clients, particularly in the broader area of strategic consultancy.
When not at work, Rachel applies her impressive project management skills to her energetic family, taking long runs with her dog for light relief. And yes, she makes that look easy too.
Gary Marshall
Gary heads the digital imaging division of Blue Chilli, moving effortlessly between videography and photography to cover everything from product images to gritty industrial shoots.
An accomplished photographer with a pile of awards stashed in a box somewhere, Gaz’s flair for transforming seemingly mundane objects like fencing wire, surgical robots, and bitumen plants into things of beauty is renowned.
Gary also keeps the business side of things running smoothly and periodically reminds the rest of us that we actually need to make money in order to pay the bills.
When not at work, Gaz likes to play golf. Hmmmm, no accounting for taste…
